"Don't judge a book by its cover"; unexpected "diamond in the rough". Stayed in room 4 (the leopard room). Was surprised to find such a cozy place in the middle of nowhere. This was much nicer/cozier than the standard white sheet motels. Owner is a kind lady that cares for her place. I would stay here again if the need came up.
I have been coming year every year because of the great service from Barb. Everyone there treats me like family. The rooms are always very clean and she has made each room with a different wildlife theme. Great idea, Barb. The rates are reasonable and the beds are so comfortable. It feels like home.
Stayed for 3 days at the Lake mills motel. I stayed in number 7 which is the Deer themed room. The room was clean and had a very comfortable King size bed. There is a good size fridge/freezer and a microwave. The manager Barb is very friendly and helpful. She has a great selection of breakfast foods and snacks available in the office. I would stay again anytime.
Barb is awesome! She took care of me like I was one of her own. Will definitely be spending more time there if I am in the area. If I could give her 20 stars on a 5 scale I would!
It's so accommodating and relaxing the being a small mom-and-pop motel than being at a big chain hotel. The beds are more comfortable the themes in each room are more comfortable than just your regular ordinary Hotel / motel room. Stay here and you won't regret it.
Motel is excellent. Barb is the nicest lady ever and beds are great. Better than some high end hotels I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend if ever in the area.
This motel is great for all travelers. Each room has a different theme. It has that down home feeling. Barb who is an angel, runs the motel she is a Godsent. She is a woman who will make you feel safe and like one of the family. The rooms are very clean and plenty of covers for those cold nights. Very pet friendly. As a traveling nurse, I recommend staying here for traveling safely and close to the job. Again, Barb is an amazing person.
Really nice little place! We only saw the inside of room 9 but it is super cute, nice cozy design that reminds you of a cabin. The breakfast is way better than you would expect from a small motel!! Coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, oatmeal, and frozen breakfast burritos and sandwiches for you to warm up! They also have super cute little pups that come out from the owners ' quarters into the office to greet you which I LOVE Overall this is a really nice homey place that is more affordable than anything else you'll find.
